Dear Co-op Members, Delivery schedule: Sept. 27; Oct. 11 & 25; Nov. 8 & 22; Dec. 6 & 20.
Vitamin Order Forms should be in your bags today, so fill them out and mail them back by the 26. And our famous annual organic and non-irradiated Herb, Spice, Tea & Potpourri Order forms are coming in October, so start a list of what you will need for your holiday season.
This week, we're really getting into the harvest season! We have New York ecologically grown Tydeman apples, peaches, Bartlett pears, and nectarines, and organically grown basil, carrots, eggplant, kale, red leaf and green butter lettuces, green peppers, new white potatoes, plum (enough for a five-minute fresh pasta sauce) and slicing tomatoes, and Ecuadorian bananas. Think about freezing, drying or canning fruit or pesto for the winter! Please call immediately with any quality questions. Groups that reported problem cucumbers last time are getting plums; problem carrot groups are getting avocadoes as a make-up.
Fruit shares are getting strawberries, Thompson seedless grapes, a cantaloupe and plums. Fruit shares are $20, or three or more, $17. Please order by Monday morning, or call to cancel or confirm by then as well.
Dividing instructions are in the manila envelope sent with each delivery. Dividers, please be vigilant about quality and call us right away so we can get credit from suppliers. Please get an ok from the office if you think it best not to give out an entire case of something. Always get an ok from the office before you divide two of something if the dividing instructions don't say to divide two cases, bags, etc.
What's coming in the order email (Tues. for Wed./Thurs. groups; Thurs. for Sat. groups): Send your name and your coordinator's name to janit@verizon.net to get on the list.
